My room mate found himself the victim of the internet’s transparency as a result of the Dharun Ravi trial. The two of them are friends and a reporter managed to rend a tweet between the two out of context and frame my room mate as homophobic and aggressive. This is misrepresentation is made more grievous by the circumstance of my room mate’s reality: he’s been willingly sharing his apartment with a gay man for three years. He’s no longer tweeting.
